Laura Napier

LAURA NAPIER is a photographer living and working in New York City. She studied as an undergraduate at the Cooper Union, and is now attending the Milton Avery Graduate Program of the Arts at Bard College. Recent professional projects include photographing twenty buildings for the upcoming book The Landmarks of New York, Volume Four, Barbaralee Diamonstein-Spielvogel, editor. In 2003, she documented the submissions to the World Trade Center Memorial Design Competition. Currently she is working with New Yorkers for Parks, a non-profit parks advocacy organization. She has also had the honor of having a photograph published in Details magazine. Her personal work is about how we live in the city.

Through various community, advocacy and promotional initiatives, the Coalition of Mott Haven Artists, an artist run organization, is dedicated to cultivating and generating public awareness of Mott Haven as an artist community.
